Emergency Response to Agricultural Incidents Course
Bill Basham, Lead Instructor
Our Annual Refresher Training courses are for those employees who have completed and passed the Emergency Response to Agricultural Incidents (HazWoper) course held in Owensboro, KY or La Vergne, TN over the past fifteen years. This course will fulfill the OSHA requirement for annual Refresher training.
This one-day course will be comprised of several "hands-on" scenarios and spill reporting exercises that will serve as an extension of the training received by attending the initial course. This course is designed for those employees who have successfully completed training in accordance with OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.120(q), commonly referred to as "HazWoper".
Bill Basham will be the lead instructor for the Refresher course. We are glad to be able to provide the training once again at multiple remote locations strategically located throughout the United States.

OSHA links the amount and type of training required to an employee’s potential for exposure to hazardous substances during emergency response or clean-up operations. The appropriate amount and type of training is required before any person may legally participate in the emergency response or clean-up of a hazardous substance. Once certified, an employee is required to participate in annual Refresher training to continue their education and exercise.
Every employee trained and certified to the Technician and Incident Command Levels. You were trained to these levels if you successfully completed Asmark Institute’s four day course offered in Owensboro, Kentucky or La Vergne, Tennessee. Those employees who successfully completed the Asmark course were issued a Certificate and a Wallet Card upon completion.
Note: Certificates from certain other training programs designed and implemented to meet or exceed the OSHA requirements may be used as qualification for the Refresher training, provided it meets the approval of Asmark and your employer.
This course is designed specifically as a Refresher for personnel working at an agrichemical facility. It will reinforce the information provided in the initial course to recognize, evaluate and control an incident involving the release or potential release of the substances routinely found at an agrichemical facility. The Refresher course is practically all "hands-on" spill scenarios and exercises. Class members will participate in several simulations designed to apply and test the lessons learned at the initial training course.
Once confirmed, participants will be sent more information including a location map, potential lodging options, lunch arrangements, etc. Each participant will receive a confirmation packet with all the information needed to prepare for this course.
The cost for this course will be $140.00 per participant. This includes the one day of customized training, personal protective equipment, exercises, lunch and certificate upon completion.
Please use this calendar to enroll in the course of your choice. Classes will be limited to 30 participants and reservations will be on a first-come first-serve basis. Cancellations are non-refundable, but eligible substitutions are welcome. The Asmark Institute reserves the right to cancel any course due to insufficient enrollment.
