Asmark Institute COVID-19 Update

We hope that all of our clients, partners and their families are healthy and weathering this pandemic as well as can be expected. These are unprecedented times and changes are coming swiftly.  We believe it’s more important than ever to support our clients and help ensure they have what they need to operate safely during spring season.  We are making a few changes to our normal system in an effort to help ease some of the burden of these unique challenges facing us all.

The first change we are making is in regards to driver qualifications.  Late yesterday afternoon, the FMCSA/ DOT announced a waiver in response to COVID-19.  As a result, Asmark will not disqualify drivers whose license and/or medical will expire in the timeframe as specified by the waiver (March 1, 2020 to June 30, 2020).  The driver's status will remain active, but they will be marked as "attention needed" so the expired license and/or medical remains on your radar to ensure it is handled timely once the extension period ends.

Second, we are waiving all late training fees effective immediately.  Third, we are not removing employees from the Asmark system for failing to complete training two months in a row.  Fourth, training returned after the typical established deadline will not affect your facility's MyScore negatively.  We encourage you to complete training with the employees that are available if possible, following the guideline set forth by the CDC to do so safely, and return any that aren't available marked as vacation/sick.  These certificates will then be sent back for the employee to complete with the next month's training if available. We hope these adjustments will lighten the load a bit as you navigate these uncharted waters over the next few months.

Here at Asmark we are all healthy and doing our very best to follow the CDC recommendations while servicing our clients.  So to ensure our team members are healthy and available to serve you, we have taken measures to allow many of them to work from home.  If anyone can work at home, they will.  This is being done to keep team members well and minimize any impacts to serving our clients, so please be understanding if you hear a dog barking or kids playing in the background.  Some of our essential work cannot be done from home, so we've implemented a series of preventative health measures for those employees whose responsibilities require they be in the office to get the job done.

Thank you for your trust in us. Our relationships with our clients and partners are truly unique and we genuinely appreciate and value your business.  Please take care of yourself, your loved ones and your team.  I know that we're going to get through this, together.
