Asmark Institute Welcomes Michael Twining to Board of Directors

OWENSBORO, Ky. — Asmark Institute is pleased to welcome Michael Twining, Chief Innovation Officer at Willard Agri-Service, to its Board of Directors.

Twining brings more than 30 years of experience in agricultural retail, with a career spanning sales, operations, leadership, product development and innovation. He has spent more than 25 years with Willard Agri-Service, a family-owned agricultural retailer serving growers throughout the Mid-Atlantic. His experience includes managing ag retail operations and leading sales and marketing before moving into his current role focused on emerging technologies and strategies shaping the future of agriculture.

“Mike brings a valuable combination of hands-on ag retail experience, industry leadership and forward-looking thinking to our Board,” said Brian Mason, President and CEO of Asmark Institute. “His perspective will help guide Asmark as we continue delivering solutions that help agricultural retailers operate more safely and responsibly, while responding to the changing needs of the industry.”

Twining also serves on the Board of Directors of the Agricultural Retailers Association and has been active in industry advocacy, including testifying before the U.S. House Committee on Agriculture. He is a Certified Crop Adviser and earned his degree in agricultural economics and farm business management from Cornell University.

“Ag retail has given me an incredibly rewarding career, and I’m at a point where giving back to the industry and helping it move forward is increasingly important to me,” Twining said. “I’ve seen firsthand the responsibility agricultural retailers carry for their employees, their customers and the communities they serve. I’m excited to bring that experience to Asmark and contribute to its mission of providing solutions that help agricultural retailers operate more safely and responsibly.”

Twining grew up on a poultry and grain farm on Maryland’s Eastern Shore before beginning his career in agricultural retail.
