Overview

Employers must ensure that each walking-working surface can support the maximum intended load for that surface. Workers should be instructed on those limits and on how to recognize potential issues. While the posting requirement for approved storage load capacity has been removed, as a best practice, employers may still post load limits for walking-working surfaces.
